# `GC` Life Time is shorter than transaction duration

+ Possible causes:
  + Using an old version that `service safe points` are not supported or unstable (`≤4.0.8`). Document 
  + There's some bug that causes the transaction or service not blocking `GC`
+ Solution:
  + For the former reason, upgrade to newer version, otherwise contact `PingCAP`
