## Business Metrics

The server exposes first-pass business-development indicators under the
`gh_server_business_*` Prometheus namespace:

- activation: `user_created_total{kind}`, `org_created_total`,
  `repo_created_total`, `first_git_push_user_total`,
  `user_activation_duration_seconds`, `repo_activation_duration_seconds`
- usage scale: `active_users_daily`, `active_repos_daily`, `git_push_total`,
  `git_read_total`, `search_total`, `star_created_total`,
  `release_published_total`
- issue collaboration: `issue_opened_total`, `issue_closed_total`,
  `issue_reopened_total`, `issue_comment_created_total`,
  `issue_close_duration_seconds`

Daily active users and repositories are backed by per-day uniqueness tables and
the gauges are refreshed when tracked business activity is recorded against the
server's metadata database.
PR and workflow-specific business metrics are intentionally out of scope for
this first pass.
