Place future skills under `skills/<skill-directory>/`. Each skill directory must include `SKILL.md`; add `references/` only when the skill needs long background material. `SKILL.md` frontmatter `name` is display text, while the directory name is only the path-safe storage location.

The initial template does not create a default skill. Update this index after adding, importing, deleting, or renaming skills.

## Maintenance ownership

## After importing content

1. Import from the Skill detail page. Import replaces the `skills/` directory.
2. Check every `SKILL.md` frontmatter and make sure `name` and `description` describe stable trigger semantics.
3. Update the skill index above when skills are added, removed, or renamed.
4. Move long background material into each skill's `references/` directory and link it from `SKILL.md`.
5. Review the diff before committing: content-only changes usually touch `skills/`; structure or skill-list changes also touch this README.
