# Desktop Specs

This README lists canonical specs for the AgentTeam Desktop client in recommended reading order.

## Context

The web and desktop clients share the React product app (`web/src/agentteam/AgentTeamApp.tsx`).
The desktop-specific divergence is converged in two narrow places:

- **Runtime contract** (`web/src/runtime/contract.tsx`) — declares capability flags + entry signals; each runtime adapter (browser / desktop) supplies its own implementation.
- **Top-level shells** (`web/src/shell/BrowserRoot.tsx`, `web/src/shell/DesktopRoot.tsx`) — owns router choice, runtime provider, query client, and the desktop-only server-selection stage.

Everything below the shell is shared. Native desktop UX improvements land either in
the runtime contract (new capability) or in `desktop/electron/` (native host).
