# Make The UI Mandatory In Remote Dev Full Fast-Start

The CP9 UI, per-session runtime configuration, complete main-host route layer, and routing-placeholder Services are a fixed slice of every Remote Dev full Fast-start session. CP9 does not expose `ui.enabled`, an opt-in flag, or a supported Remote backend-only variant that omits the slice. This makes the product surface and its gateway contract predictable for Remote users and for the next-phase cluster-create browser proof, at the cost of adding the UI workload and route objects to Remote sessions whose immediate work is backend-only. The slice reuses the existing public api-gateway and does not create a second load balancer, hostname, or frontend build during `cp9 up`. Local-k3d sessions are outside this UI contract and never render the slice.
