# Invite tenant

Replace `<central-backend-url>` to the URL of your central server. For the production environment, the URL is `us-west-2.prod.aws.tidbcloud.com`.

```
POST https://<central-backend-url>/api/v1/admin/register_tenant
```

Make sure you are the administrator of DBaaS, your email address must be in the `central.central_users` table. Add `X-Login-mode: central-admin` key/value to your HTTP headers. Add the following request payload, and issue a request to the above URL. The `email` field is the email address of the admin user. The `name` field is the name of the tenant. The `credit` field is **optional**, if set we'll add trial credit for the tenant, in the following example, the initial credit is set to 5000 USD.

```
{
   "email":"liuzhi@pingcap.com",
   "name":"PingCAP",
   "credit":5000
}
```

The operations in this document requires `${PROJECT}` environment to be set.
