## File Descriptions (team-admin/)

All files in `team-admin/` are **symlinked** to `/home/ubuntu/.openclaw/workspace/`. Each file serves a specific purpose in the AI's operation:

### BOOTSTRAP.md
First-run initialization script. When the AI starts with a fresh workspace (no memory files), BOOTSTRAP.md guides it through:
1. Introducing itself to the user
2. Determining its name, creature type, and vibe
3. Filling in IDENTITY.md and USER.md
4. Deleting itself when complete

**Status**: Should be deleted after initial setup.

### IDENTITY.md
Defines the AI assistant's identity and personality.

- **Name**: What to call the AI
- **Creature**: What kind of entity it is (AI, robot, familiar, etc.)
- **Vibe**: The assistant's style (sharp, warm, chaotic, calm, etc.)
- **Emoji**: Signature emoji for the AI
- **Avatar**: Path or URL to the AI's avatar image

### SOUL.md
The AI's core values and behavior guidelines. Contains:
- Core truths (be helpful, have opinions, be resourceful)
- Boundaries (privacy, safety)
- Vibe description
- Continuity notes

### AGENTS.md
The AI's "work handbook" - contains instructions on:
- How to read/write memory files
- Heartbeat behavior and periodic checks
- Group chat etiquette
- Safety guidelines
- Tool usage conventions

### USER.md
Information about the human user(s) the AI assists:
- Name, pronouns, timezone
- Preferences, projects, context
- Notes about what the user cares about

### HEARTBEAT.md
Periodic tasks to check during heartbeat polls. When empty (or comments only), no heartbeat checks are performed.

Common heartbeat tasks:
- Check emails
- Check calendar
- Check weather
- Review memory files

### TOOLS.md
Local tool-specific notes and configurations:
- Team skills locations
- Git worktree conventions
- Claude Code (AWS Bedrock) configuration
- GitHub App credentials
- Available private repos

## Symlink Convention

Files that need to be shared across machines or version-controlled separately are:
1. Stored in this `memories/` directory (typically in a git repo)
2. Symlinked into the workspace at `/home/ubuntu/.openclaw/workspace/`

This allows the same files to be used by multiple OpenClaw instances while keeping them in a centralized location.

## Related Files (in workspace, not symlinked)

- `memory/` - Daily memory logs (auto-generated, not version controlled)
