# Skill ranking

The **Ranking** page surfaces which skills are most popular and which ones
are newly added. Use it to discover skills that work well for the kinds of
investigations you do.

## What you'll see

The page groups skills into two views:

- **Top skills** — most invoked recently. A good first place to look when you
  want to follow the crowd.
- **New skills** — recently published or updated skills. Worth trying when
  your usual playbook doesn't fit a new incident shape.

Each row shows the skill name, a short description, the count of repeat
users, and a quick link to enable the skill in your workspace.

## Why ranking matters

Skill quality is uneven — some skills are very specific to a single
incident class, others are general-purpose. The ranking page is the fastest
way to:

- See what is **actually being used** by other engineers right now.
- Find newer or experimental skills you might not be aware of.
- Decide whether to enable a skill in [Skill Hub](/docs/features/skill-hub).
