# 2021-11-08-13:13:56+0800 scale pd disk to 500G

- Cause: https://jira.tidbcloud.com/browse/DM-3050

Due to a bug, PD disk is still using gp2 with 10Gi, the disk IOPS is a
bottleneck for PD. To workaround this temporarily, we need to scale
the disk to 500G which has 1500 IOPS.

- Operation:

``` sh
# change the PVC size from 10Gi to 500Gi
k edit pvc -n tidb1379661944583194067 pd-db-pd-0
k edit pvc -n tidb1379661944583194067 pd-db-pd-1
k edit pvc -n tidb1379661944583194067 pd-db-pd-2
```

- Impact:
The PD disk will be expanded to 500Gi with increased IOPS.
